Contrary to popular belief, litigation is not simply another name for a lawsuit. Litigation includes any number of activities before, during, and after a lawsuit to enforce a legal right. In addition to the actual lawsuit, pre-suit negotiations, arbitrations, mediations, facilitations and appeals may also be part of the litigation process. Our firm handles all aspects of litigation in state court, Federal Court and Federal Bankruptcy Court. Our main focus is on debtors and creditors and their related disputes. We handle complex litigation in Federal Bankruptcy Courts including contested proceedings, contested plan confirmations, adversary proceedings, discharge and dischargeability complaints, fee disputes and claim disputes. We also handle state court lawsuits involving commercial transactions, probate and family law. Our Federal Court practice stems from our bankruptcy practice and includes real estate disputes, collection matters and contract disputes.
